Sight Words and a FREEBIE!

Sight words, sight words, sight words! This is something that we all work so hard on with our students. I truly feel sight words is one of the best uses of time we spend helping children learn how to read. I recently learned that sight words account for 75% of the words used in beginning children's printed material!
The benefits of teaching sight words and students learning sight words are amazing.
- Promotes confidence
- Helps promote reading comprehension.
- Allow students to take on the more challenging words.
- Provides clues to the meaning of the text.
- Enhances ESL instruction
- Build upon each other and a foundation for reading more complex words.

We go over our sight words so much that I swear I dream about sight words some nights! I hope my students do too!
There are so many different ways to go about teaching sight words. The ideas are endless!

I am always trying new ways to get those sight words to stick!! I wanted to do some activities with my students that included different hands-on, interactive, and engaging skills to not only get those sight words to stick, but also to have fun while learning them!

I recently created 3 different sight word activities. Each of the activities require absolutely NO PREP! Just print and go!!

Here are the activities:
