100th Day of School!!

On Monday this week, we had our 100th day of school!!! We had so much fun doing TONS of 100th day activities!!

This is what my room looked like before my students got there.






    




We did a 100's chart mystery picture.
    

We made yummy fruit loop necklaces with 100 fruit loops.
   


                




I was very impressed with this AB pattern fruit loop necklace!!


We made a 100 days smarter tie
    


We made some cool 100 glasses!

We made crazy 100th day hats! Students placed 10 things on each strip to make 100 altogether!
        

    





    

We wrote 100 words!! 
(I forgot to take a picture of the end result… sorry!)

We painted 100 gumballs
    



We wrote about what we would do if we had $100

One of my students wants to buy a dog for the class!!!

We made a tower out of 100 cups!! I was BEYOND impressed!! We didn't even knock it down once while building it!
    

    


We predicted where we would end up if we took 100 steps in the hallway.
    


Then, we took the 100 steps to test out predictions and placed our feet on the wall where we stopped!
    

We made 100th day Trail Mix!
    




At the end of the day, each student got a certificate (which I forgot to take a picture of) and a "$100 bill" with their picture on it!!



The next day, we wrote about our favorite 100th day of school activity!

Scarecrows- Part Two!

I can't believe this week marked the end of the first quarter!! It has gone by so fast! This week was a 4 day week with my students and we had our inservice/report cards on Friday. We ended the first quarter with part 2 of my Scarecrow Unit ! What a fun and busy week we had! We had a blast continuing our Scarecrow Unit with lots more math and literacy activities. We practiced tracing, writing, and finding the number 7. Then we rainbow wrote the number 7 and filled the other one in with crows :) We had lots of fun being crows, but got a little mixed up. Little Red Riding Hood

One of my favorite units during the year are my Fairy Tale Units. I just love reading the classic fairy tales that I remember my teacher reading to me when I was younger! I have a few fairy tale units that I have made, but knew I wanted to make more! Little Red Riding Hood was one of the next fairy tales that I knew I wanted to work with! I am so excited to share with you that I have just finished the Little Red Riding Hood Unit ! The activities included in this unit are hands-on, interactive, and lots of fun!
