Number Hats!

I LOVE teaching numbers!! At the beginning of the school year, I do a HUGE focus on numbers. I teach all about one number each week and really like to break each number down. I like to teach my students about how you can show a number in a variety of ways! I decided to create something that would celebrate all of the students new learning about a number. I have made Number Hats 1-10 !! I plan on having my students make these hats after we have learned about a number all week. They will be a fun, stylish, effective, and super cute way to celebrate our new learning! These Number Hats are FULL of different ways to show a number! Three Little Pigs

I ABSOLUTELY love the story, 'The Three Little Pigs'. This story is always so contagious in my classroom! After reading a few pages, I love hearing my kiddos read with me "Then I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down!" So much fun! This is also another wonderful story to discuss and learn about different story elements. I have just finished putting together my 'Three Little Pigs' Mini Unit ! Fun on the Farm! Part 1

What a fun week we had! We began my Fun on the Farm Unit and had a blast learning about farmers, cows, and pigs this week. Check out all the fun we had with the first part of my farm unit: All About Farmers We began the week learning all about Farmers. We read a nonfiction book about Farmers and created an interactive writing anchor chart with all of the things we learned. Then, we wrote some facts that we learned about Farmers.     We turned our facts about farmers into a barn book.     All About Cows  Our first farm animal we learned about were cows. We read a nonfiction book about Cows and created an interactive writing anchor chart with all of the things we learned.
